Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny

Image
Title: Down the Rabbit Hole: Curious Adventures and Cautionary Tales of a Former Playboy Bunny Author: Holly Madison Pages: 352 Summary: Holly Madison provides an honest look at her life as a Playboy Bunny. She shares the bullying that she endured at the hands of other Bunnies as well as her toxic relationship with Hef. The reader is given a glimpse into what it means to live inside the mansion, the requirements of being one of Hef's girlfriends, and the cost to her identity. This isn't a "woe is me" memoir at all! Madison does share the ups and the ways she grew into the person she is now. There is humor found throughout and the reader is able to relate to her. I enjoyed this memoir very much for its humor and honesty.

Finders Keepers by Stephen King

Title: Finders Keepers by Stephen King Pages: 448 Summary:  In 1978, Morris Bellamy, a rapid fan of author John Rothstein, decides to seek justice for the way his favorite fictional character, Jimmy Gold's story ends. Morris Bellamy ends 1978 in prison serving a life sentence. The reader is moved forward to 2010 and the time of Mr. Mercedes when introduced to Pete Saubers and his family. Pete's dad was a Mr. Mercedes victim and the family has fallen on hard times but just as the Saubers are set to implode, Pete finds a solution.  Unfortunately, this solution will change the course of his and his family's lives as well as reunite readers with the three unlikely heroes from Mr. Mercedes. As well as provides an update on Mr. Mercedes himself. For fans of Stephen King, this will be a disappointment especially with the comparison of Misery. The story isn't all that interesting and it's highly predictable. Here's hoping the third instal

But after months of being cooped up there, Charley is ready to pop. Both metaphorically and literally since she is now roughly the size of a beached whale. Fortunately, a new case has captured her attention, one that involves a murder on the very grounds the team has taken shelter upon. A decades-old murder of the newly-vowed nun she keeps seeing in the shadows is almost enough to pull her out of her doldrums. Charley’s been forbidden to step foot off the sacred grounds. While the angry hellhounds can’t traverse the consecrated soil, they can lurk just beyond its borders. They have the entire team on edge, especially Reyes. And if Charley didn’t know better, she would swear Reyes is getting sick.
